This tradition still prevails in certain areas of the state.

Clyde's Catered Creations and The Little Red Pig is owned
and operated by Bill Eason and the Eason Family.
Bill Eason graduated from Wingate University and East Carolina
University. He's a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity
and been barbecuing for many years.
Bill began competition cooking in 1990 and The Little Red
Pig Cooking Team has ben successful through the years. In
1993, the team placed 5th in points on the Memphis In May
circuit and received The MIM - Top Ten Team Award. The LIttle
Red Pig placed 7th in the MIM WOrld Championship - this
was followed by a 5th place finish in the Jack Daniel's
World Invitational Championship. Bill and the team has had
a great deal of success in the Big Pig Jig Event in Vienna,
Georgia, as well as the North Carolina BBQ Championship.

and The Little Red Pig Cooking Team have won over 100 awards
in Barbecue Competitions. They have cooked in 20 state championships
and 3 world championships.
Bill has appeared on television numerous times promoting
Barbecue and Barbecue events. He also has a video tape produced
by MBF productions: Whole Hog Barbecue By: Bill Eason.
Bill has spent most of his business life in the construction
industry, but has been quoted by NC Business Journal as
stating that the revenue incurred by the catering business
is rapidly approaching that of the construction. In Bill's
opinion his catering business will continue to grow, as
the demand for Barbecue continues to grow and be accepted
through out the country.
